Volunteering at Ufton is a powerful opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of children and young people. Whether you're an individual looking to give back or a corporate group seeking meaningful experiences, your involvement helps create positive change.
We're on the lookout for Volunteers to help us create unforgettable experiences for children. Whether you can commit to one day, every morning, or every afternoon, your time will be greatly appreciated.

The difference you make!
In 2024-25, volunteers had a massive positive impact on Ufton and our ability to improve the lives of children.
Not only did we grow a dedicated, talented and reliable core group of regular volunteers, we also had the privilege of hosting corporate volunteer days, accelerating projects that would have taken weeks to complete!

What our volunteers say:
Dorothy,
Gardening Volunteer
Over the years I have volunteered with several organisations but I can honestly say Ufton beats everywhere else hands down. Both volunteers and staff are treated on an equal footing and ‘everyone’ is so welcoming, friendly and helpful. At the end of a volunteering day, I leave feeling satisfied that I’ve accomplished something really worthwhile and made a very small difference to a wonderful charity. I always look forward to my next volunteering day.
James,
Gardening Volunteer
I saw the Ufton Court advert for new volunteers on Facebook, and was immediately excited at the prospect of working for a worthwhile charity, at a Tudor country house and gardens, set in 43 acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside. As I love being outside, I volunteered as a gardener, and with each passing day that I have worked at Ufton, my decision to apply to join the Ufton team, has proven to have been very much the right one.
Lynn,
Gardening Volunteer
Gardening at Ufton is genuinely my happy place, a chance for me to clear my head, be mindful, and just be in the moment. The fresh air and activity boost my mood every time I'm there. With so much to do, there is never a dull moment. And of course there is the added bonus of the farm and seeing the children enjoying outdoor activities.
I would definitely recommend giving it a go to anyone considering volunteering.
