Imagine being a part of the Home Front, creating clever tricks to confuse the enemy! In this activity, you’ll help build a decoy airfield to mislead enemy forces, while cracking secret codes to protect your community. Can you outwit the enemy and keep our airfields safe?

This activity focuses on the use of deception during WWII, specifically the creation of decoy airfields to mislead enemy forces. Children will learn about the importance of secret messaging and subterfuge in wartime. By constructing their own decoy airfield and decoding messages, they will understand how misinformation was used as a strategic tool during the war.
