Activities

Compass Navigation

The Compass Navigation activity introduces participants to the basics of using a compass for navigation, focusing on understanding cardinal directions (north, south, east, west) and how to read a compass.

Leaf and Flower Detectives

Orienteering is an outdoor activity that involves navigating through a set course using a map and compass to find specific checkpoints. Participants develop skills in problem-solving, decision-making and spatial awareness while testing their endurance and teamwork.

Geocoaching Adventure

Geocaching adventure provides an exciting and interactive way for participants to use GPS technology to search for hidden "treasures" in outdoor locations. Unlike orienteering, which focuses on map and compass navigation to predetermined checkpoints, geocaching emphasises a treasure-hunt style experience with the added element of technology.
